Yannick loves the moon
Recently we had a couple of very clear nights and the full moon could be seen through our 'curtain' (which is really just a large dark bed spread made of cotton, like a bed sheet). On both nights Yannick was fascinated by the big lamp out there when he woke up. The first night he just looked for a little while from where he was. The second night he moved closer to the window to see it better and demanded to sit up (he still needs help with getting into a sitting position). I was just inwardly sighing as it was something like 3 in the morning but helped him as I knew that otherwise he might be disappointed and would take longer to go back to sleep than when happy. Sleep is very important!
OK, so he was sitting there admiring the moon. Then all of a sudden his upper body just went forward, like a pen knife folding up, and stayed there, lying on his legs. I thought this can't be comfortable at all and tried to make him sit up when I noticed that he had actually fallen asleep looking at the moon… I really would have liked to laugh out loud but just chuckled about this as I didn't wanted to frighten him. I moved him back to his sleeping spot on his mattress (we have three lying next to each other on our bedroom floor as we are co-sleeping) which woke him up slightly, but he was almost immediately sleeping again.
Here is a suitable song: We like the moon.
