Every year I am trying to meet up with some old school friends on Christmas day, as this is the only time of the year that most of us will be in Hanover. For the first time I managed to take a couple of photos.

Album: Sylke's Beach Party (Nov. 2004)

Considering that we live in Ireland and that my birthday is in November, I decided to have a somewhat unusual theme for my 40th birthday party. It turned out that most people really liked the idea and came dressed in great beach outfits. We had some ready made Piña Colada and Margaritas, plenty of surf music and also Reggae, and everybody seemed to enjoy the party. We even had a competition for the best costume and gave away a lovely pair of glittering and blinking snowmen who sang Christmas carolls. Who won the prize? What a question, the human palm tree of course! :)

I had a great time and that's all that counts on a 40th birthday!
