SylkeWeb album: Ireland in September

Earlier this year my mum and my sister decided to visit me again - it had been a while. When it turned out that Frank's and my time would be limited here we decided to make a round-trip out of it, so that I and them would get to see a bit more of Ireland at last. Then I found out that I had got pregnant, which was great in itself, but had a bit effect on my stamina and eating needs. On top of that I got a bad cold just before the trip that I duely passed on to my relatives. All successful! Nevertheless we had a few days where we got to see loads and the sun was even shining. Here 'some' photos.

A sight that I had for most of the holiday - my sister walking at least two, three metres in front of me. My mum was always behind me.

Day 2. Our first night was in a small place called Ballyvourney which took us forever to get to from Killearney as I foolishly decided to go on a mountain road. On this photo we are actually enjoying the view on our way (back east) to Macroom as we trying to get to the best road for our purposes, the R584.

The Lee Valley just south of Macroom has this wonderful lake, directly at the R584.

I like to take photos of signs at sights as I never have the patience to study them there and then. Later at home, I can read at my own leisure.
